Born and raised in Yarmouth, Maine, red-haired, freckled Anni Clark has been writing and performing her brand of folk-blues since 1981. Mixing material reminiscent of Bonnie Raitt and Joni Mitchell, this acoustic performer has garnered attention for both her offbeat wit and her homespun, philosophical songs. Anni has been singing since she was a child, but it was in college that she first picked up a guitar and taught herself to play. After graduation she got a day job, but also started moonlighting at local clubs. By 1981 she felt confident enough to pursue a full-time career singing and songwriting.
