Singer, songwriter, comedian and producer--Rob Carlson is entertainment for the mind, the heart and the funnybone.

After graduating from Brown University cum laude in 1970, Rob wrote songs for The Gloucestermen, a nationally broadcast documentary produced at WGBH-TV in Boston. In 1973 he teamed with singer John Gailmor. The duo was signed to Polydor records and in 1975 released Peaceable Kingdom. Despite critical and commercial success, the duo split up in 1976.

Since then, Rob has continued to perform, write and produce songs and scripts for adults and children, jingles, radio comedy and advertising, working out of his studio under the name "The Producers." His song parodies are heard all over the country on ABC network radio and the American Comedy Network, a radio comedy syndicator.

In 1993 Rob released another recording of songs, also called Peaceable Kingdom, containing some of the best from the original album, reproduced for the nineties, and several new songs. Also new is Parodies Lost, a cassette of song parodies covering a five-year period.
